There's a lot of trash on the web but there are also a lot of things worth viewing but most of us don't have the time or inclination to weed through all that trash. The sites that will be recommended here will be family friendly, educational, helpful and some might be a little wacky!

By creating an account you can access a customized course that includes user-friendly tutorials, practice sessions that dynamically adapt to each student's ability level, a vocabulary builder, and more. Number2.com was created by teachers to help students excel in these exams. If you have a high school student, you might want to try this one out.
Need something to entertain the kids? Here's a list of sites recommended by Kim Komando, "The Digital Goddess." They are geared to the pre K to early elementary age group.
The Hot Wheels site offers a deluge of easy Shockwave games. As you might guess, most of the games feature cars.
Yahoo! Kids hosts dozens of games of every style. Many of them include popular movie or TV themes.
This is the site built around the I Spy find-in-picture book series. Unlike similar games, I Spy tends to use photographs rather than drawings
Line Rider is pretty simple, but it's still worth repeat plays. All you have to do is draw a line from the top left to bottom right. You're free to shape your line any which way.
Why don't most people diet? Does it really take 7 years for bubblegum to be digested? What is the largest carnivore ever discovered? Can chickens grow teeth?
