Holiday sanitation Services 2007/2008 Schedule

 The City of Fort Lauderdale provides sanitation service every day of the year except Christmas Day, December 25.  The following information outlines the City’s sanitation schedule for the 2007/2008 holiday season.  

 THANKSGIVING DAY

There will be no changes to any City of Fort Lauderdale sanitation services, (i.e., garbage, bulk trash, yard waste and recycling collection) for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2007. 

 CHRISTMAS DAY

 GARBAGE

There will be no garbage collection on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25.  Garbage collection for residents whose regular pickup schedule is Tuesday/Friday will receive service on Friday, December 28, 2007.

 

 

 

 

Yard Trash Guidelines

Did you know that one piece of garbage placed in your yard waste cart could contaminate an entire truckload (five to eight tons) of yard waste?  This means disposal costs for the entire load of yard waste almost doubles!  You can help keep sanitation costs down by putting waste materials in the proper designated cart.  For more information on Yard Waste Program Guidelines go to:

Bulk Trash

Several Lauderdale Isles households have received Bulk Trash citations. You can avoid this by learning the rules and guidelines:

Recycle bin pickup on  Monday.   Always recycle!
